Installazione:

1) Riavviare in recovery ed effettuate i seguenti wipe: Cache, Data, Dalvik e System.
2) Successivamente installate la ROM e le GApps.
3) Riavviate il telefono, potrebbe volerci un po'.
4) Godetevi la nuova rom sul G3!

Scusate l'ignoranza, ma la rom Euphoria funziona solo e soltanto se si ha Lollipop 5.1.1?

No, basta essere su Android Lollipop 5.0, anche perché il G3 5.1.1 non l'ha mai ricevuto. In ogni caso non consiglio l'installazione se si ha marshmallow visto che non ho idea di cosa possa accadere (magari nulla eh)

 

Ah ok grazie mille, é la prima volta che installerò una rom, e Euphoria OS é quella che mi ha convinto di più. Avrei bisogno di qualche info sui backup che vanno fatti prima di installare la Rom, posso chiedere qui o c'è un'altra discussione più adatta al mio tipo di domanda?

 

Fai un backup di tutto tramite l'apposita opzione in custom recovery, inoltre puoi fare un backup manuale (quindi trasferisci i file a mano) dei file che ritieni più importanti.

Ho pensato di usare Titanium Backup.
Quindi faccio il backup di user apps e system data e poi faccio restore?
Le foto e i video saranno cancellati quando farò wipe data cache dalvik cache?

 

Se vuoi fare un backup tramite titanium tieni presente che non è detto che il ripristino funzioni, o che le app e i dati funzionino a dovere una volta ripristinati.
Se non fai wipe internal storage foto e video non vengono toccati.

Quindi mi consigli di fare backup tramite la custom recovery? User apps e system data?

 

Se fai un backup da custom recovery non lo fai per ripristinare tutto sulla nuova rom ma per usarlo in caso di problemi, l'unico modo per mantenere i dati sulla nuova rom è usare, appunto, titanium o app simili, però come ti ho detto c'è il rischio che si creino incompatibilità o che non sia possibile ripristinare.
Dipende di cosa vuoi fare il backup, user apps salva le applicazioni, System data le preferenze del sistema e poco altro (credo).

Ah ok, ho capito. Ultima domanda e ti lascio in pace, il backup del system data é importante o no? Che cosa mi farà ripristinare?

 

Tramite titanium è altamente sconsigliato fare backup sia di app che di dati di sistema, soprattutto se si vogliono ripristinare su una rom su base diversa, esempio da aosp a stock e viceversa oppure da una base android all'altra, ad esempio da android 5 ad Android 6 e viceversa

 

Ah, allora come mi suggerisci di fare backup?

 

Il backup dei dati di sistema è utile se si ritorna al sistema precedente, se passi da una rom stock ad una aosp molte preferenze, app e/o funzioni possono essere diverse e quindi non funzionare.
In poche parole fai entrambi i backup, che non ti costa nulla, ma prova a ripristinare solo le app, l'altro lo tieni in caso tu voglia tornare sul firmware stock o su una rom basata sul firmware stock.
